The Mary Rose

1509 – Henry VIIII become king of England and orders the
bulding of the Mary Rose.

1536 – The Mary Rose up gradaded and fitted with new more powerful guns.

1545 – The Mary Rose sinkes during a battle with the French at Portsmouth.

1836 – The site of the wreck is accidentally discovered by divers.

1965 – Alexander McKee leades a team of divers and archaeologists to search
the ship.

1971 – More of the ship is uncovered and new objects are brought to the surface.

1979 – The Mary Rose Trust is formed and the ship is excavated, record and prepared for recocovery.

1982 – The Mart Rose was rased on the 11th October, people all over the world wached this incredibale site.

Today – Work continues to preserve the ship and her contents for public display.
